We offer professional training on quality wineries in France, where you experience the whole process of winemaking from viticulture management, grapes, pressing, fermenting and cellar management. You will get to experience French culture and lifestyle, as well as the language, although most of the hosts can speak English.

You will generally get a chance to experience the full winemaking operation, working between 40-50 hours per week.
We offer placements in different wine regions of France, on high quality wineries who deal with different wines – just let us know your preference and we will do our best to match you with the perfect host.
We have a partner in France that is there to support you if required, and we can assist with other placements in France if you decide to stay beyond to harvest.
Placements Available:
•Wineries with a focus on red wine
•Wineries with a focus on white wine
•Wineries with a focus on sparkling wine Champagne (very few)
•Wineries with a focus on sweet wine (very few)
ln addition with can look for:
•Conventional wineries
•Organic wineries (very few)
•Cooperative wineries

Requirements for the French Winemaking Program:

  • Winemaking experience and/or, winemaking qualification background and experience from at least one grape harvest, the more the better. (If unsure about your experience get in touch)
  • Age: 19- 30 years
  • Be able to speak good English or /and have at least a basic knowledge of French, for social reasons we appreciate at least basic French
  • Be motivated and interested in winegrowing
  • Be flexible and open minded
  • Have a clean police record.
  • Be in good general health
Our support package includes:
  • Applications sent to hosts and assistance with obtaining the required documents.
  • Interaction with hosts to answer all of your questions
  • Assistance with obtaining the required visa.
  • Travel assistance to France, and onwards to the host farm
  • An information pack to assist you with settling in France

Income:

You will receive at least the minimum wage of 9.88 euro. Food and board will be deducted from your wage.
