The organization focuses on the following vulnerable groups of society: Children and
Youth, Older Persons, Women, and Families.
Their interventions are focused on developing potential & uplifting their community.

 

We would preferably like our volunteers to meet the following criteria:

• Experience or an interest in Early Childhood Development will be beneficial.
(Babysitting experience, Intern experience at Kindergarten, Youth Camp leader, etc.)
• Knowledge of Financial administration and Community development or gardening.
• Love to work in a team.
• Life skills with regards to values and to dreams are part of the daily teachings during practice sessions.
• Knowledge of project and event management.
• We require assistance with developing a Web page and managing our social media.
• Creative & Innovative
• Adaptable
• Team Player
• Kindhearted

General volunteer activities will include but not be limited to the following:

Mondays & Tuesdays
08:00 -16:00 (for the first week they will automatically slot in on a Tuesday)

Early Childhood Development Center
• Playing with the children
• Assisting the teacher in the classroom
• Assist with taking children to the bathroom
• Assist the teacher to clean the classroom
• Assist with dishing meals and where needed feeding children.
• Assist with supervising the kids when they take a nap.

Wednesdays
09:00 – 18:00

Administration tasks at the center
Gardening tasks (especially in establishing the community vegetable garden)
General Maintenance tasks (cleaning and: painting)

Thursdays & Fridays
08:00 – 16:00

Early Childhood Development Center

Saturdays & Sundays: Cultural shows presented by the children

(Involvement is optional) Sports activities arranged by the project for the children

Volunteers will be placed with a host family and are provided breakfast daily. Transport to and from the project daily will also be provided.
