We have both internships and volunteer programs available.

Our project is a shelter/place of safety for abused, destitute & pregnant women with young children.

Our vision is to see women with children living free from abuse, poverty, and discrimination by offering the world a model of care and social empowerment.

As an expression of God’s love, we seek to provide shelter and support for pregnant,
abused and homeless women with children; through a holistic self-empowerment
programme that develops social, personal, creative, vocational skills within a framework of Christian values and discipline and a culture of mutual learning, accountability, and respect for the unique value of every human being.

Established in 1904 by the Anglican Church, our project celebrates more than 100
years of honouring the sacred bond between mother and child; as well as providing a place of hope and healing for vulnerable single-parent families who would otherwise be separated through poverty, unemployment & family violence.

HIV & AIDS is a reality in South Africa and around the world – volunteers will
receive training on this field and how to be safe like always handling relationships
where there is blood involved with gloves.
• With the above mentioned we strongly believe in treating all people with respect
and acceptance.
• The mothers and their children within this place of safety had to leave their homes
and families behind due to domestic violence and are therefore seen as a vulnerable
group in our society. Volunteers are not allowed to ask the children or mothers
about their past/ background unless a mother or child chooses to tell them.

It's an edgy, evolving neighborhood where hipster cafes, veggie eateries, and galleries occupy old factories covered with vivid murals. The renovated Old Biscuit Mill is home to cool design stores and hosts the weekly Neighbourgoods Market, with street food stalls, African handicrafts, and designer fashion. On nearby streets, quirky stores sell vintage fashion, up-cycled furniture, and antiques.
